PAINTINGS - Suttle Lake
Image Size: 6.25" x 18"
Shrinkwrapped and matted on Foam Core
Just a few miles up the road from Sisters there's a wonderful place called Suttle Lake. A few years ago a friend of mine invested in the old resort and created a wonderful grouping of cabins, a lovely log lodge, and a fine restaurant called "The Boathouse". I spent some time out there this summer painting and learning the legends of the Native Americans who had come to this place for many years. I was told there was the spirit of a little girl named “Little Feather” who was often seen by children around the lake and lodge. You can see her in this piece that captures all the current beauty and fun of the place--canoeing, sailing, and breathing the wonderful mountain air!
Painted on Rives BFK 100% cotton paper with liquid watercolor for high color saturation and a bit of colored pen and pencil.
