I fell in love with yellow dogs a long time ago... I never had a yellow dog but they kind of haunt me as an artist. Sometimes I just have to paint that darn dog before I can go forward with anything else!

Now I have taken a liking to these funny little teardrop trailers!. They  yell “Road Trip” whenever I see one and my head just starts to spin.

This painting is one of a series that has my little alter ego out for a road trip in the winter. Skis on the top he’s headed down that purple road to new adventures on the slopes... who doesn’t need a yellow mountain rescue dog for emergencies?
