GICLEE -Woodpile

This is a little out of the box for me... I created it for a show that honors the style of the Gee's Bend Quilters. These amazing quilters use architectural elements to inspire their contemporary designs. I love the patterns and shapes of cut firewood so I decided to create this piece. The quilters often add what they call "Bars" of color that they make out of strips of various fabrics.  The lines of the woodbox make a great frame for the shapes.
