I love a big bunch of showy flowers--color, texture, pattern! Wow!
Around Sisters there are some lovely gardens full of big beautiful blooms--behind a 12 foot high fence with deer sirens and alarm sprinklers. My husband, Frank, is a terrific and concientious gardener who knows that the deer turn up their furry little noses at those flowers you'll see most frequently in my paintings.... poppies, shasta daisies, cone flowers, daylillies, cornflowers, black eyed susans and sunflowers.
I have had a chance to travel to the Willamette Valley where they grow those eye dazzling dahlias!!! Check those out in "Big Dahlia Day in Dundee".
