Growing up in the suburbs of Portland I always wanted to live on a ranch.  I got my wish and was lucky enough to marry a guy who knows how to do all that hard outdoor work and leave me time to wander and paint!

Last year I went to visit wonderful historic ranch up near the Columbia River... Imperial Stock Ranch.  They have an amazing spread and a great story to go with it.  I was so intrigued by their concept of  selling Oregon Sunlight.

 They raise grass with the help of  Oregon sunlight .  That  grass, when consumed by their sheep becomes the wool,  taadah!  You can wear Oregon Sunlight!...  My sheep are sporting some of the wonderful wool colors that Imperial Stock Ranch creates.
